Competition Try-Outs

 Royal Performance Company is committed to expand and grow our competition lines offering more opportunities to our dance community for ages 5 - 18. Our competition dance season will offer a variety of options from competing one style of dance to all styles. 

What does that mean?

RPC is offering four competition tracks for dancers age 7-18 that dancers and parents can choose from.  The four tracks; a full track, a three-quarter track, a half track and a single track allow for flexibility. All styles of dance; jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop are available for competition. Each style of dance a dancer may choose to participate in will require a try-out for that style to determine the assignment of a competition team. A dancer can be placed on varying team levels for all styles based on technique skill. 

New to RPC is our pre-competition team for ages 7 and older.  This team will provide an introduction for dancers and parents new to competition dance. Each style of dance will be taught; jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop. MUST attend the competition information meeting and participate in an instructor assessment in order to be accepted into the Pre-competition program. 

RPC offers a Tiny Tots program for dancers age 5-7 learning and competing routines in both lyrical/ballet, tap, and jazz. This program does not require a try-out of dance styles.  MUST attend the competition information meeting in order to be accepted into the Tiny Tots program.
